Since its beginning, Viers Mill has been active in service to our community. Below are just some of the areas of community outreach in which we are active:

Embrace Silver Spring

Boy Scout Troop 220: We are proud to host this active and growing Scout Troop. We believe strongly in the message of scouting and its role in the development of the leaders of tomorrow. Troop 220 meets on Thursday evenings at 7:30pm. To register or for more information email bsatroop220@yahoo.com.

English As A Second Language: For over 16 years, a talented team of volunteers teach English free of charge. Over 150 students are enrolled in beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes. Classes meet each Tuesday and Wednesday evening from 6:30 - 9:00pm. Classes are free, but there is a charge for the textbook. Students should use the Havard Street Entrance. Classes do not meet in the summer (June, July & August). Registration for Winter classes is held in January and registration for Fall classes is held in September.
